MANLEY VILLAGE ........
The rural village of Manley is situated to the North east of the county town of Chester. It is a peaceful and attractive village yet lies within easy reach of the North West’s key cities - Liverpool and Manchester. It also has good access to the motorway network.  Delamere Forest is at its back door and the vibrant market town of Frodsham is just four miles away.
Sadly, the village no longer has a post office but it does have a Village Hall at its centre.
The Hall has 3 full-size snooker tables, tennis courts (call 01928-740280), a very active bowling club (01928-725001), together with full bar facilities. It is available for private hire and has regular country and western dance evenings.
In May the village has a Spring Fair on its playing field facility, opposite the Hall which also hosts regular Caravan Rallies. Contact 01928-740552 for information.
The Hall also plays host to Manley’s active Gardening Club 01928 740479 .
Bottle Bank Facillity and recycling  is located at the Halls entrance.

On Monday 3rd July 2007 the booklet The Village of Manley was launched at a Cheese and Wine evening kindly hosted by Mike and Barbara Foxwell at the Village Hall, Manley.
Over 50 Manley residents of all ages attended and each resident received a copy of the book.
The Cheshire Poet Laureate 2006 gave a short poetry reading and also gave some background to the stories in the book.
He said there was something special about England and something special about Manley, it had a sense of history.
Last year villagers met at The Common, then to the Village Hall for a social event where they told their stories of the past.
Barbara Foxwell thanked Mike Wellman, ex CCC Econet partnership and the people of Manley for their help.
She hoped this book was the start of many future editions.
The Parish Council has been supportive at all stages of the booklet
