The Rajar Building

The Rajar Building was constructed in 1903 for the Rajar Camera and Photographic Company to allow their works to be relocated from Liverpool, which later became part of the Ilford Printworks.

When Ilfords downsized the factory and made way for a housing development, the Rajar Building was donated to the village of Mobberley.

It has been completely refurbished by Barratt Manchester and gifted to the Parish for community use.

The building was opened on 15th July 2007 by The Worshipful, The Mayor of the Borough of Macclesfield, Councillor Barry Burkhill and Mobberley Rose Queen Sophie Roberts.

The Rajar Building has various sized rooms which are for hire. To hire a room at the Rajar Building please contact Mobberley Parish Clerk on 01565 872333 or E-mail Clerk@mobberleyparishcouncil.co.uk.
