3rd October 2009 - RURAL TOURING NETWORK EVENT - DANCING IN MY DREAMS

The next event in the RTN diary is Saturday 3rd October at Plumley Village Hall at 7.30pm. The show, Dancing in My Dreams, is a musical play inspired by the many children whose lives were changed for ever by the experience of war time Britain. Set in 1939, it is the heart-wrenching story of Kathleen, a young evacuee from the East End of London, who escapes the harsh realities of her new home through her passion for dancing and the fantasy world of her screen idols, Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire. This is a moving drama with music by one of the countries greatest song writers, Iving Berlin, performed by a highly talented ensemble. Tickets are £8.00 and it suitable for family audiences, recommended minimum age 8.
