Best Kept Garden Comptetion 2009

 

The Parish Council recently held a Best Kept Garden Competition whereby all gardens in the
Parish were judged by an independant judge. The only criteria for the competition was that the gardens had to be viewed from the highway.

 

1st prize - Sally King, Wash Farm, Pinfold Lane
2nd Prize - Mr & Mrs Phil Willocks, Finger Post Cottage, Toft
3rd Prize - Mr &  Mrs Harold Ball, 44 Moorcroft

 

 

As there were so many delightful gardens to choose from there were also 3 "highly commended" gardens: -

Mr & Mrs Peter Frier, Hawthorn Road
Mr & Mrs Brian England, Plumley Moor Road  
Mr & Mrs George Betteridge, Trouthall Lane

 

The prizes for the competition were very kindly donated by Andrew and Ellie Yates from Plantation Nursery, Plumley Moor Road.
